Will Sun n Fun allow any departing traffic during the mass arrivals on Tuesday opening day? May have to leave temporarily to pick my son up at either Orlando or Tampa. He's flying in commercially.
Most of the incoming goes to 9L/27R, while most departures are on 9R/27L.
You probably already know this, but expect a conga line to a departure point where controllers standing there in person will hold you just short of the runway. When they flag you to "GO", they mean "pull out and launch right now". Work runups and prop exercise into the stop and go before you get to the runway. Mind your propwash. If you have a problem, immediately move out of line and off the taxiway.
If you time your arrival to be just after the airshow, you'll probably wind up circling Lake Parker. They often hold the incoming 1/2 hour or so to clear a rush of post-airshow departures. I don't know if they use both runways during that period; never tried it.
