I'm reworking my RV-4's power distribution. I want fuses on:
1) The main avionics bus
2) The battery bus
3) The starter circuit (I'm using the Flytec on-starter contactor). As a side note, I'm using a design I haven't seen elsewhere. I'm going to draw up the schematic soon. When it's done I'll post it.

I was about to order three ANL fuse blocks and fuses but then I noticed how big these things are. About 3.4" long including the holder. Since they go up to 750A, it makes sense that they are large. The max I need is 60A. It will be a bit of a challenge to accommodate three of the ANL fuses in the space I have. Also it's likely to be heavy and just not as aesthetically clean as I was expecting.

The Bussmann "Max" series would work: http://www.bussmann.com/pdf/2049.pdf . However, I can't find a panel-mounted holder for them and the inline holder is only good for 48A.

A Nuckolls-style fusible link solution would certainly be light, compact, and cheap but it's not precise enough for my taste.

The Bussmann "AMI" series looks like it would be perfect: http://www.bussmann.com/pdf/f57ff8af-a432-4937-bd42-e643a16bac07.pdf . They're about the size (1.4" long) that I had been previously assuming for the ANL and the range is 30A to 150A. Again, though, I can't find any holders for these on the web.

So, anyone know of a more-compact medium current fuse solution?

Thanks,
