Before working on my slider canopy I decided to do all aluminum fairings front sides and rear. I have spent many many many hours on these and I think they have come out pretty darn good, BUT I don't seem to like how the REAR skirts overlap the SIDE skirts on either aluminum or fiberglass
Has anyone ever cut the two Aluminum intersecting skirts and spliced them together for a smooth transition ?

This has been done on several planes in central Texas. Planning on doing it on mine next week. Just a but joint with 032 reinforcement plate. Very clean look. Daryl Railley (lifeofrailley) on VAF plane is this way.
