I have installed a Todd's canopy and I am about to start working on the skirt and canopy latch. I it looks like it will be necessary to cut a short length out of the latch mount on the inside of the cockpit and use that piece as a bushing on the outside of the cockpit in order to get clearance for the outside handle. What methods have others used for the clearance issue when the canopy is slightly thicker than the Van's supplied canopy?
