SL-30 SOFTWARE VERSION

My SL-30 just came back from Garmin and the software version are as follow..:

Com Software ver: 2.1

Nav software ver : 1.30

DSP Software VER: 1.20

My software looks like it is current then as my versions are: NAV 1.4, DSP 1.2 and COM 2.2 and the unit is working fine. Trying to decide whether to pay around $550 for Garmin to check the spurious transmission SB as I missed the free update window. I hate to spend money for something that is working fine and has exhibited no problems in 3 years. Always seems that when you mess with electronics that are working you end up with electronics that don't.

Funny that your Nav version is 1.4 and mine 1.30 and my unit just came back from Garmin...Maybe I need to check if I should get the update since I paid for a full lookover..

Their current flat fee for an SL-30 is $450.00 + shipping and if yours is working fine, I wouldn't bother...

IF it ain't broke, don't fix it..
