Does anyone know why only the inboard ribs are a part of this fix? If the higher loads due to the flap attachment are a problem for the inboard flap hinge rib, why wouldn't they be a problem for the outboard hinge rib? I ask because my ribs are installed already, but the bottom skins are still off, so replacement would be relatively trivial, just need to order a replacement. I'm thinking of replacing the outboard hinge rib along with the others just in case. I can imagine how it could become a problem a few years from now.
