I am installing a Skyview system in my 9A. How does Dynon pick up the RPMs? Do they have a sensor for the tach drive shaft? I can't find much about the engine instrumentation lit in Dynon's literature.

Disregrad. Dynon just sent me a new installation guide that answer the question. Basically you pick up impluses off the P Leads.

The separate EMS unit for the Skyview has Right and Left RPM inputs, for either standard (magneto) or lower voltage type (lightspeed) inputs.

Download the Dynon Skyview systems installation guide for details.

I do believe the standard method if off the P leads as that is what we did. You then just do the calibration for your engine,

I believe the install manual details picking up the tach. signal at the Mag/starter switch L and R position using a small resistor on each lead, resistor value listed in the manual.
