Jetguy Well Known Member May 11, 2011 #2 Only the Shadow knows! Dont know! 18amps, Yes the cowl will have to be modified for Alternator in a big way. We will probably know at OSH in late July.

SkyView system with backup battery during battery charging +1.5 amps additional. The Rotax alternator is capable of putting out about 18 amps, more or less depending on ambient temperature. The voltage regulator needs cooling if operated at higher current output.
