Does anyone know if a Garmin GPS 155XL can be linked to the Skyview for use with LNAV non precision approaches? Just doing some day dreaming here that this might just be an inexpensive way to legally make non precision approaches, and to maintain the extra bells and whistles that the Skyview HSI would provide.

Thanks for your thoughts...........Tom

The 155XL and 300XL hook to SkyView via serial and the AVIATION format and work great for enroute and non-precision approaches. Remember, this does not include any vertical guidance.

Thanks a lot, and I do understand that without vertical, the minimums are higher, and follows the step down logic of ADF, and VOR approaches, which would work just fine for me. Anyway, I think it may be time to go shopping.........Tom
