Turned on my master switch in the hangar yesterday to read fuel quantity indication; Skyview screen appeared with nothing but meaningless vertical color bands. I waited. No change. I shut it down & "re-booted"; still no joy. Repeated 2-3 times; still nothing. Unscrewed Skyview from panel, disconnected plug(s), re-installed, tried again; no joy.

I gave Dynon a call in Woodinville, OR. Their folks are just great, and within 5 minutes a tech support guy called me back. Bad news though. I ended up removing my D-1000, packaging it up, UPS to Oregon. Insurance for $4000 item very pricey. !0-day turn-around from Dynon (not counting shipping time I'm sure). So, realistically, I'm figuring on being grounded for 2-3 weeks in some of the best flying weather one could imagine.

Bummer!
