In any case I'm proud to announce SkyCharts 1.4.3

If the WX sux you can now use X-Plane in conjunction with SkyCharts to do your flight planning and see what things look like on a sectional map!

With the right configuration X-Plane will drive the position of SkyCharts.
Setup is simple:

While simming, use SkyCharts as a moving map, AF/D and plate lookup.
The future 1.4.3.1 will let you call the ASOS/AWOS as well.

I just checked out SkyCharts for the first time on the iPhone. That is going to be totally cool on the iPad.

Just remember to download all charts you want BEFORE going offline, I should really make the 'i' button HUGE...

FYI: SkyCharts runs in the iPad simulator already. I'm still not sure if it will be possible to use an external GPS or not, but in any case the larger display will make for a nice EFB.

Also faster chart downloads and routes are coming in the v1.6.x series.
