longline

When I established the horizontal trim line for the cowling I established where the lowest fastener on the firewall needs to be on the upper cowl. The normal spacing leads to interferance on the upper engine mount and bolt. (The Skybolt retainer is really close to the mount/bolt.) I can always shorten the spacing, but I suspect that would look strange, conversely making the spacing longer leads to less support.
Someone who has done this before will probably have a good idea about the visuals inherent in either option. What say you?

Mine too came close to the mount bolt, used structure pull rivet to mount, kept spacing even.
