can anybody tell me the exact length of the rear horizontal stabiliser of a rv6 and how difficult it would be to remove to help transport.
thanks:confused:

Exact Length?? Are the fiberglass tips installed or can they be removed?? That will save abt 2 inches on each end.

To remove the Horizontal Stab:
1. remove the fiberglass tail fairing
2. remove the rudder and control cables
3. remove the elevator trim cable
4. remove bolt from push pull tube-to-elevator horns and remove the elevators
5. remove the Vertical stab and any tie down hardware
6. now you are able to remove the bolts attaching the Horizontal Stab.

its just that i want to narrow the size of the aircraft for transportation it sounds easy, is it?
thanks

You could also rotate (roll) the fuse to about 30 or 45 degrees on the trailer, or truck, which would reduce the effective width of the HS.

It sounds like the wings are not on. That's good!! Removing all of the tail feathers can be accomplished in an hour or so.
