Working on fitting the front baffle inlet ramps to the lower cowl. Right now I've got the ramps trimmed so they just clear the lower cowl (i.e. no gap between the aluminum and the cowl inlet).

In the plans it appears that there should be a gap that is spanned by the fabric seal - but how larger should the gap be?

I believe the answer would be 3/8 of an inch. i do believe it is the same as the clearance at the top of the baffles. I am also at this point on the project, but do not have my drawings with me in the house. It is definetely in the drawings on the page that has the individual floor piece you are refering too.

Yes, you need a gap between the cowl inlet and baffle ramp. 3/8 is about what I have and it works. I know a lot of people who make the gap bigger. You need this gap to be able to pull the lower cowl on and off with the least amount of fuss.

Here's how mine looks with the seal material.

Great picture Jamie, that's exactly what I was looking for and 3/8" makes sense.
