Does anyone know the difference between (on Aircraft Spruce) 1/8" silicone, "Real Premium", and Homebuilders silicone....?

I have purchased silicone valve cover gaskets that could be used on a Certificated aircraft and ones that can be used only on Experimental aircraft. Other than the price, I could tell no difference.

Here's ECI instructions.....

1. Install dry without sealant or adhesive additives.
2. Torque cold engine (less than 100 degrees) screws to 25 inch lbs.
3. Or for warm engines, torque to 20 inch lbs.
4. After engine has warmed over 100 degrees, re torque to only 20 inch lbs.

Dry

I was told by the guy who sold me my first set that dry means DRY. As in use alcohol wipe on both cylinder and valve cover.

I've used these gaskets for years on many different planes and really don't know why folks keep using the cork gaskets which will surely drip in time. Properly installed, the silicone gaskets never leak.
