Forgive me if this is old news. Vans is selling Weldon for plex to airframe bonding. The historic material of choice was Sikaflex 295U. Any comment ??

Larry, you are right, this horse has been beaten to death several times over.
Since your statement includes an inaccuracy, I will set it straight.
The historic material of choice has been Sikaflex
The historic material of choice by Vans aircraft has always been Weldon.

I agree with the answers you got. Prior to the -10, there were no bonded transparencies in the RV fleet. Sika was an experimental method not recommended by the factory. I like how my bonded canopy is holding up but I mainly went that route to simplify the fairing and I think, if I were to do it over, that I would attach the canopy according to the plans and then do the fairing from Sika instead of fiberglass. For my -10, I am pondering the various reports in other threads. From what I have read about Weldon, I don't think it would be suitable for your application.
