Did those who've used SIKA prime the areas covered by the spacers when you primed the rest of the frame or did you wait till the first pass between the spacers had cured then remove the spacers, prime and sika the voids?

Primed after spacers

I removed the spacers then primed the gaps with a small brush. Worked out fine. For those going next...FWIW, I'm glad I painted the canopy frame black prior to the sika...lets the sika blend into the frame and I wasn't so worried about the perfect tape job.

Good luck

I primed the entire frame, added the spacers, installed the canopy and applied the Sika.

After the Sika cured I removed the spacers and backfilled. I did it this way because there was some concern that applying additional primer could contaminate the previously applied Sika.

If you call Sika they will provide you with an overview of their recommended practice in this area.
