All,
Knowing that everyone in this forum responds well to change, I am proposing we move our monthly meeting out 1 week this month and attend the Sept 24th La Port Airplane/Auto show. It has been several years since visiting this airport due to restaurant closure, but appears to be an interesting event. Attached website has the details.

When: Saturday September 24 2011
(Rain Date: Oct. 1 2011)
Admission: $ 5.00 per per person + two gifts for the troops.
$ 10.00 without gifts for the troops
(Child under 12 yrs. No charge)

Help support and honor our wonderful men and women in the military. The American Legion Auxiliary Unit Post 490 will receive the items collected to send to the troops overseas along with donations for the postage. They will have a date to be set for anyone that would like to join the Auxiliary Unit for packaging the items collected. See GIFT LIST link for suggested items to give. At least two gifts per person as you enter the event.
Bring your cameras to take pictures with the old biplanes and antique autos.
Food and drink vendors will be available.
