I'm looking for suggestions on how to keep my cowl hinge pin from backing out. It's the long pin securing the upper cowl to the firewall, on the left side of the plane. Everytime I check my oil, I check the hinge pins and that one has always backed out about 2 or 3 inches. Suggestions?

Here's what I did, works pretty well except I have some interference from my GPS antennas nearby---takes some creative maneuvering.

I glassed in some small pieces of AL angle, on the underside of the cowl, that have notches that I hook the ends of the pins in. I push the pins in beyond the notches, then back the pins out to the notches. Works great.
