In the near future, I will be installing my RV-12's rear window. Has anyone seen the need for and/or used some form of protective/cushioning material (e.g., plastic tape, window sealing tape, etc.) between the Lexan and the roll bar? Such a seal might improve the appearance of the installation (i.e., no rivets showing and no crud build-up between the sandwiched Lexan/roll bar) and might provide a better seal against wind noise and rain entry.

Any thoughts as to a good material for this?

Thanks -- David

Didn't seal mine as appearance was fine w/o it. Also don't plan to fly it other than VFR in which case rain is not (usually) an issue. I tried not to complicate the assembly process with a multitude of small additions as they usually only add weight and little else. To each his own though.
