I use my Garmin 496 alot, I mean every day. I mount it on the dash of my daily driver when not flying. The screen can get scratched up pretty easy. Don't ask me how as I try to be pretty careful, but it just does.
I found these screen savers to be worth every penny. They even cover up lite scratches already on the glass and the film they use is very tough.

So anytime I'm flying my RV I will be using my screen savers.
They are available at several places, I was just reading Sporty's and decided to post their link. It is a good product.
