I have a four year old BMA Efis and I thought that I had scratched the bottom of the screen by in-flight "cleaning" to remove dust. It turns out that what was scratched was a coating on the screen which I have removed with Clean Screen.
The damaged coating was reflecting sunlight and making it difficult to see detail so hopefully this problem will now be solved but I am pretty sure that there are protective films out there which would protect the "glass" from future scratching and perhaps reduce glare as well. I see that Anywhere Map sell screen protectors for PDAs/Pocket PCs but the BMA screen is 8 1/2" x 6 3/8".
If anyone has any information or suggestions I would be very grateful.
