With the plane disassembled and back in the basement, I thought it might be a good time to clean up some of the scratches in the cockpit.

On the tip-ups, the F-7218 Canopy Decks tend to get scratched from people cimbing in and out.

What have others done to prevent these scratches?

Haven't done it yet, but I'm thinking of putting UHMV tape on the decks. Mine are still unpainted.

My 9A (tip-up) had some of that rubber "grippy" stuff stuck to the canopy decks with either contact cement or adhesive backing. Seemed to work pretty well.
