I'm gonna jump on the group buy.

...but can you guys with flying RVs share your opinions on single axis vs. dual axis? Is dual axis that important?
I'm guessing that the dual axis is used when hand flying the plane, while a wing leveler autopilot will keep the wings level on long flights? Does that sound correct?

I'm just wondering why, if the dual axis is important that people are buying the single axis.

Hmmm... The other axis, roll, is used for aileron trim. Even if you have a roll servo for the autopilot, you shouldn't be relying on it for trim. In a side-by-side, roll trim is quite useful (understatement).

I almost replied for one, then reality set in. I probably won't need one for a few years, since my wing kit isn't scheduled to arrive until February.

But the offer is pretty good. So my question is: will this still be a good purchase 2-3 years from now, or will better technology come along before I complete?
