Just had a passing idea regarding ADS-B traffic information.

I am curious to know if the EFIS manufacturers could generate a synthetic wake turbulence trail ( a fading brown trail ) for any heavy traffic at or above ones altitude. The synthetic wake trail would need to diminish or fade and vanish with time. It might need a on/off or de-clutter option. I really have no idea how doable this might be, so I will post this for consideration.

It's just data manipulation and analysis, so it's probably doable, if there's enough processing power in the computer... I could see it bogging down an EFIS rather quickly.

You would only need to display about 1 minute of airspace in front of you. I would think this would use less CPU capacity than ground hazards like towers. It would just provide a visual aid for something that is otherwise invisible. Perhaps a "caution wake" from Betty.
