Im working on getting it installed, but the directions say to put proseal between the mounting plate and the skin. Is there any alternative to this? I understand the need for it, however if the mast is ever damaged, I'd probably ruin my bottom skins trying to remove the proseal cured mast...

The reason for the proseal is to fill the slight gap between the mast mount and the skin due to the skin being slightly curved.

I didn't bother but used some jointing compound to avoid any potential moisture trap. I also intend to make a fibregalss fairing to neaten the mast/skin interface so that should cover it!
