We got a S T I T S SA7D also known as SkyCoupe donated to our EAA 1114 chapter. While going through the box of documents and blue prints that came with the plane, I found the specs/performance brochure and was struck by how close these specs were from the LSA standards. The next step was to compare the SA7D, a plane introduced in 1957, with the RV-12, side by side and, oh surprise!
