I have never read or heard any accounts of how RV's fly and handle etc. with a load of ice, light or otherwise. Anyone care to share their experiences flying an RV with a coat of ice on it?

A few years ago at 8,000 ft picked up approximately 1/4" of ice in a very short time requested decent to 4,000 ft and the ice melted away. the airplane was completely controllable and flew normally during this experience. This doesn't say much but that was our experience in an RV-6A with two people and weekend trip baggage.
