The posting of photos from Oshkosh reminded me of something I read in this quarter's RVAtor. Ken Scott indicated that the Pioneer Inn would probably no longer exist by next year and that their hosting of the RV builders' dinner was problematic there anyway.

He indicated that Van's is investigating hosting "something on the field" instead of the the annual dinner.

Well, believe it or not, I'm already trying to figure out plans for the annual RV 7/7A Builders Barbecue and wondering if Van's moving their deal "to the field" supplants the need (or should I say: desire) for the BBQ?

In other words -- without obviously committing to anything -- is there an appetite among RVers to have both if they're both actualy AT AirVenture?

Bob,
I would attend your BBQ if it works out.
I might or might not attend Van's event.

Although very interesting, I feel Van's dinner
is basically a 'state of the company' meeting.

IMHO-Your BBQ is more focused on building,
and meeting RV-7 builders.

I hope you have the BBQ,
Tom Webster
