Finishing up the last odds and ends on the wings. I noticed Vans sent me 4 of the W-15040A-001 panels (8 holes to rivet the brackets) which matches the inventory sheet. The plans only call for 2 ( magnetometer and pitot regulated heat control). So I have enough oval covers to finish the wings but 2 have the 8 holes for mounting 2 additional brackets (only recieved 2 brackets which I believe is correct) which I don't need. I hate to just put rivets in the holes. Has anyone else ran into this and did Vans send you the 2 additional W-15040-001 at no cost.

I didn't have this specific problem but I have had similar and Van's has always sent the correct parts. I have had to push back (nicely) a couple of times, but they always came through. I would NOT fill the holes with rivets, although there is nothing structurally wrong with doing so.

In addition, I expect to bring a small box of various untouched, unneeded parts back to Van's when I go to pick up the next kit.

I did have this exact problem and Vans is sending me the correct parts no charge.
