Van's RV-10, N54CT: Incident occurred November 22, 2021 near Grassy Meadows Airport (UT47), Hurricane, Washington County, Utah
Federal Aviation Administration / Flight Standards District Office; Salt Lake City, Utah

Aircraft experienced engine failure and made a forced landing.

My buddy Jeremiah Jackson had a forced landing in his newly built RV10 about 7 or 8 years ago. He wrote a very interesting account of it in an easy-to-read book titled 4 Minutes and occasionally gives a presentation on it for the FAA sponsored Wings Program. It's worth catching if you get a chance. He credits his survival and the fact that he was able to recover and rebuild the airplane to his experience "landing out" under a square parachute so many times.
