A longtime friend of mine bailed out of his RV-9 project many years ago when his job situation changed. He talked about selling it for years. A few days ago, I loaded it up and brought it to my hangar to sell it for him.
It's an RV-9 tail and wings, complete with center section.The tail is basically done, just needs inspected, fiberglass, and paint, etc. to complete. Van's price for a tail kit is $4300.
The wings are basically at QB stage, though this was not a QB wing kit. The tanks are done. The control surfaces and bottom skins need finished, then fiberglass and paint, etc. Van's price for a wing kit is now $13,450 which doesn't include the center section. This kit includes the center section.
It also includes the longeron material for the fuselage.
This post could get quite large if I posted photos of everything. I didn't show the fiberglass wingtips, wingtip lenses, small parts, flap parts, aileron parts, wing skins, and probably some other stuff that I've forgotten!
The owner will provide a bill of sale so that you should be able to transfer the Van's serial number into your own name.
Asking $8875, which is half of Van's price... with no waiting. OBO... CASH offers considered.
