What length cut did you make in the bottom cowl to accommodate the nose gear? I see on Bill VonDane's site that he used a 12" cut... well that isn't enough for me. The plans say as required, but I'd rather ask the question at this point rather than try to add material back later.
I assume the only way to get the lower cowl on is to slip it under the spinner back plate, and pivot it up into position?
Does the lower cowl need to be installed before the upper cowl? It makes sense to do it that way, but it sure would be easier to trim if I could leave the upper cowl on while trimming the lower.
