Hi everybody. I had already 15 hours in my Rv8, and I didn?t installed the upper wing root fairings yet. I bought the Fairings-etc ones. What changes in perfomance can I expect with this fairings installed? My TAS at 8000 ft. is about 170 kts (180hp, C/S, 75% power), a bit lower than Vans numbers.
Any comments?

I don't understand. Do you mean the upper landing gear fairings, or do you mean the wing root fairings that cover behind the wing spar? I never heard of anyone flying without those. If you are flying without the wing root fairings, I would suppose the stall speed would be lower when you put some on.

I have seen them

I have seen the wing root to fuselage intersection fairings on some racers but I do not have any performance data.

Sorry, I didn?t say it well. I am flying without the upper landing gear fairings, and I am about to put it to the plane. I want to know if someone could tell me what changes in perfomance (cruise speed, stall speed) can I expect.
