Anyone know where I can get some transition training for the RV8? My insurance carrier is good with an RV7 as a substitute.

I agree that Jan is the one. He also has a RV6 that he used for my transition training last December for my RV8. He's very good. Let me know if you need contact info.

My insurance states I need 5 hours. Does that sound right to you guys?

Yep.....5 hours..

...although that varies with the individual. Most of the guys that I trained were done in 5 or less with a coupla exceptions...

That's exactly what my insurance company wanted, 5 hours and Jan had a very good program that he fit into that 5 hours. I felt pretty good when we were finished.
PS I already had quite a few hours in a Citabria before the transition training
