I have an RV-8 that had a O-320 in it. I am putting an O-360 in it. My friend has an 8 with an O-360 and have noticed that his scoop is lower than mine. OK, so I guess have to modify the cowl scoop where it will be deeper. The question is can I buy a scoop, have to buy the lower cowling or just modify what I have? I know Van's sells a scoop for an RV-4 O-360 but I don't know if it would work for me? Any ideas?
