Well, here it goes...another one of my odd questions.
I am preparing to drill out the landing gear to weldments/etc. after dropping plumb lines...etc. The step calls for installing U-801 Gear leg, U-804 inboard main gear attach bracket, U-806-1 inboard wear plate and U-805-1 outboard wear plate onto fuselage....using a 7/16 Bolt, nut and washer.
7/16th??? bolt. Seems to be a little loose compared to the final bolt fitting. Why not use the AN 7-21A Bolt to more accurately secure before drilling the rest of the holes??? I must be missing something really simple???
