Instructions say to "bevel" the aft/inboard edge of part 713 to contour to part 701 (skin). I have looked at this for longer than I should...Not understanding what is really needed here??? Can anyone help???

Mark the line where the skin overlaps the counterbalance skin (713). From this mark aft, use a file or belt sander to bevel the counterbalance skin where the elevator skin overlaps it. I did mine to where the counterbalance skin was about 1/4 of the original thickness on the two edges mentioned and the bevel extended in from those two edges for about 1/2". This (mostly) gets rid of an unsightly bulge in the skin where it overlaps 713. Sorry I can't find a photo.
