Marilyn's RV-4 has been backed into or backed too far into the hangar a few too many times over it's life. The aileron trailing edges are kinked and patched.
So I called VANs this AM, armed with the knowledge from this site that RV-8 QB ailerons might be the ticket.
The nice lady on the phone didn't know about any RV-4 aileron kit, the RV-8 kit isn't the same (it's pre-punched!) finally I had to tell her that we aren't communicating. Could I talk to whoever she is trying to get help from...
Then everything started to come together, although I never did get to talk to the governing authority.
Yes RV-8 QB ailerons are the same, we have them they are $408 each. After asking, no they don't come with the A-406 (2 ea) or A-407L or A-407R which were IIRC $6 and $8 each. Shipping to Seattle $19.
