Earlier yesterday, Manuel Queiroz set off from Gloucester Airport in England to fly solo around the world in his RV6. Manuel is making an attempt on the world speed record for circumnavigation of the globe - over 24,000 miles in 16 legs & in less than 23 days.

Manuel will be flying from Hawaii to San Jose & then on to Texas, Ohio & Newfoundland, anyone along his route may wish to keep an eye on his web site & welcome him in true RV fashion.

Is anyone posting/updating a bog or such on this effort?
Posting a bog would be a bit messy! And how would you update a bog . . .

It looks like their will be a flight blog kept on the site shown in the original post.

The records

Am I to assume that if he was to complete this course and set a new records in "less than 24 days", that he's not going to make it? Yesterday was day 23 and he was in california?

Too bad, but I just don't see anyway that he's gonna make the new records (unless of course I don't know how the records works, or the webpage is not up to date and he's back in the UK). But today would be day 24, would it not?
