Good Morning,
My RV-6 wing kit included a set of parts from Barnard Engineering, one of which is a W-631A. This piece is an angle that supports the forward edge of the lower wing skin's access panel cutout. It is to be riveted to the rib and the skin.

The plans show the skin in this area is attached to the rib with a single rivet, so the Barnard piece appears to be an effort to strengthen or reinforce this connection. It will also slighlty decrease the amount of room available to get my arm through the access hole.

Does anyone have any comments about whether or not this piece is useful? Thank you very much.
John
