I have started building my RV4, but there is mention in the Empennage section of Figures, such as Fig 6.10 for example which shows how to align the front spar. There are no Figures in the empennage section of my manual, and Vans have sent me a new manual, which also does not have the Figures in the empennage section.
I have the Fuselage and Wing section figures, so I know they do exist, but have never seen the empennage figures. Does anyone have them and if so could you post a copy of one so I can see what they are supposed to show.

I am not sure what you mean by "align the front spar." Are you talking about making the spar itself or aligning it to the other parts in the jig?

I have my old RV-4 manual at home and will check it for you. I bet you got some pages similar to new manuals that applies to the pre-punch kit parts. Which, on a -4 you don't have pre-punching. In the newer manuals it seems some figures have disappeared because with the pre-punch parts you don't need them.

Here is figure 6-10 from my RV-6 manual. This is to align the skeleton in the jig by placing the level vertically then measuring equal distances from the rib centerlines. I think I just used a plumbob myself.
