Not a story, really, but a thought for the article, and one that's been near and dear to a lot of us lately. Van (and other kit manafacturers, I assume) periodically release service bulletins, which are not legally required to be complied with like an AD. A second hand owner could easily get bit by one of these not having been complied with. The recent fuel tank pick-up service bulletin is one example, but there have been many others issued over the years.
