I'm flying an old-school RV-3A (fuselage-mounted fuel tank, single wing inspection panel per side). Has anyone out there installed a wing-leveler servo at the aileron bellcrank in one of these? If so, do you have pictures/details?

...a lot of the -4 and -6 guys with already built airplanes, mount them on the outboard rib and make new pushrod back to the bellcrank because it's tight in the inspection plate area,

Joe, a wingtip installation would most likely be the easiest for you provided the wingtip can be easily removed. Here are some notes about the wingtip install in our pal Bob B's RV-6A:
