I am talking to a rv3 owner about possibly selling to me. We agreed on "market value" but now we have to actually decide what that is.

RV3B w/ <100 hrs
Lycoming 160hp w/ 1900 hrs but good compressions
carb/mags
fixed pitch wood prop
normal instruments, altimeter, airspeed, etc.
nice build quality and very nice exterior cosmetics.

Any opinions or historical sales experience would be greatly appreciated.

[email protected] or pm if don't want to post specific information.

Thanks and I expect to have a RV4 for sale shortly but I'll have to finish this deal before I post RV4 :)

A professional paint job would be worth more than the motor. But you didn't mention anything about paint. Anyone that can value a three would have a better chance at it if there were pictures.

Tom, I still kick myself over your plane!!! And missed it by 2 days when the next guy had to sell.

I did purchase a project (nice work) so I will have a three in the air some day.
