Very interestingInteresting too is that they no longer use the Beringer
Weird to be honestAlso, interesting jack pad arrangement.
It looks like if you get a flat tire the brake caliper hits the ground? Hmmm.Tire install.
So this is still the same Fuselage as last year?Just looked at it at the Vans booth. No baggage door yet so I would guess they still have some fuselage iterations.
Definitely has the jack screw. I could see under the horizontal stab where there was a spot to cover a gap where the jack screw is and can slide. It sure looks like it- I believe they have the announced jackscrew trim system and final tail feathers installed, but there is still evidence in the roof of the door pillar area of the original flap handle pivot bearing, which has been there for a while.
Not only that, but I see NO trim tab on the elevator... and the new fairing on top of the horizontal has a space cut out to allow for its movement.Definitely has the jack screw. I could see under the horizontal stab where there was a spot to cover a gap where the jack screw is and can slide.
I think this is an important week in that timeline. My expanded comment from another thread.Personally I am shocked it is not the new/final version fuselage ready to be seen and go on sale. I am overly curious what has been going on in Aurora these past few months?
Maybe they have it designed and ready to sell, just not show yet, but it seems it would be on a flying plane.
We are going to be waiting tapping our collective feet with completed wing and tail sub-kits.
Tire install.
Are you an experienced RV builder?Personally I am shocked it is not the new/final version fuselage ready to be seen and go on sale. I am overly curious what has been going on in Aurora these past few months?

This will be my first RV build, not my first buildAre you an experienced RV builder?
If so, you know the time that is involved in building a fuselage.
There is a huge difference between a kit builder taking fully developed parts out of a box and putting them together, versus building the very first prototype of a new design.
I believe the major portion of the design work is done ( or maybe even all of it).
Moving from that step to producing all of the tooling and production drawings for the production area to use to make parts, getting all the necessary parts produced, Assembling them the first time while documenting the process in order to produce all of the KAI drawings and instructions, and then basically building the entire airplane again, even when this time being able to attach already completed wings and empennage is a huge undertaking.
Knowing where they were in the development process, I would have been shocked if they showed up with a fully revamped airplane.
