Does the RV-14A fly more like the RV-7A or the RV-9A.

I did my transition training with Mike Seager in an RV-6A. I found learning to land the 6 to be very challenging. The controls are so sensitive.

I have found my RV-9A to be much easier to master landing. I love the flying characteristics of my RV-9A.

The flying characteristics of a -14 are just fine in general. If what you're asking about is pitch sensitivity in the flare, that has as much to do with the CG location as it does anything else. I have flown both the -14 and the -14A and found them to be well mannered, with no tendency towards instability. I have flown -7's and -9's that were sensitive, and others that were solid - just depends on where the CG lies at the time, and a little on the shape of the trailing edge of the elevator.

The -14 will never be accused of being a -3 (the most delightful handling RV of all in my opinion), but it is very predictable and solid - while still being fun to throw around the sky a bit.
