Mornin' guys. I was busy assembling the center section and came to the rear spar pocket riveting. The instructions say to file the inside radius of the 'pocket' to match the rear spar stubs that I don't have.

Is this really necessary or do they fit without filing?

TIA,

Pierre,

This fit is important. The mating parts or course come with the wing kit, but I believe you can order the doubler if you don't have the kit. Situation: once it is riiveted together, and in the plane, there is no changing it. Too loose, and the wing can even move a bit. Too tight, an the wings are very hard to install. I would make this a priority item. Easier to do now than later.
