I discovered my music jack was not grounded giving me only 1/2 of the stereo sound. If you look closely at the picture below you can see the plastic case insulated the plug. The grounding lug is stick up in the air. If you have paint on the panel it may not be grounded.

I soldered a small wire from the grounding lug to the ground station just below the plug. Works goods now.

A small detail for sure, but one that will drive you crazy trying to debug it.

Thanks, Larry, mine was not grounded due to paint. Easy fix since my fuse was still on its side, later I would have had to troubleshoot and the fix would been harder.
The same ground issue should be checked with the video cam mini plug if you are going to install it.
