Given that the 12 is "approved" with the 496, what would be required for Van to substitute the 696 in its place. I'd imagine that would be a popular offering. Do you think that will be offered?
YTou can build the RV-12 with anything you want under experimental amature built, but to qualify as an E-LSA you are even limited to what you put in the panel.
The 696 could be a portable unit in the cabin though.
